This is the first lesson given to almost every student that has a beginning guitar lesson at the studio. It contains the basis for getting the hands moving on the instrument separately and together. There is no need to understand music notation during this lesson. It is presented in a way that describes tablature and gets the hands moving up to fret 12 by the final exercises.
- Positioning the guitar
- Holding and using the pick
- Your first sounds on the guitar
- Beginning to move the fingers across strings
- Working up the fretboard while moving across strings
